And While I was Shopping for a New Wallet, ...

I picked up a couple bottle of cologne.  I am not a big cologne wearer but I have a few scents that I like and that I like to keep at the ready for a special occasion.  During the 70's and 80's it was very fashionable to wear cologne.  I wore it mostly when I would go out for the evening.  Never in the office.  InappropriĆ©.  And I wore it sparingly.  There is nothing worse than being next to someone, man or woman, who has doused themselves in cologne or perfume.  Remember, a little goes a long way.  I generally spray it into the air above my head and then walk into it.  That gives one a nice amount that is spread evenly about the upper body and not "spritzed" in one small spot if using from a bottle with an atomizer.  If the bottle has no atomizer, then just a dab or two here and there will do.

One of my favorites is this Polo Club Classic.  You just cannot go wrong with this choice.  It is a scent that has been around for a long time and has a classic, clean aroma.  You can never go wrong with having a bottle of this on your tray.  I keep my cologne bottles on a gold leaf tray.

My other favorite is Halston Z-14.  Again, a good clean scent, but very different from the Polo Club Classic. These two scents should be in every man's arsenal and then you can branch out from there with others.  I generally have four or five bottles of different scents.

The Halston Z-14 box is a classic also.  This was introduced in 1976 and remains on the shelves even today. That is a testament to a fine product.

For the guys, as I said, start with these two and go from there.  I would suggest Caron as a very good third bottle to add to your tray.  And Joop! as a fourth.
