Snowmaggedon Last Week; Tornadoes This Week

Last Friday we were returning to work after having a day where everything was closed due to as much as a foot of snow in some areas.  Today, we have tornado watches.

What do you do?  Deal with it.  Hopefully we will dodge any really bad weather today.  Tomorrow is supposed to be delightful and I intend to get outside and do a little clean up from all the snow.

Some pictures of what it looks like outside right now:

A look to the southeast toward the Pentagon just on the other side of the Roosevelt Bridge.  Low, ominous clouds rolling in.

Another rather bleak winter picture with the House of Sweden in the background.

And finally this desolate look at the patio of Sequoia Restaurant in these pre-spring days.  This will soon be bustling with people enjoying cocktails and lunch on this lovely patio overlooking the Potomac River.

Hang in there everyone.  Better weather is just around the corner.
