Some Early Spring Shots taken Today

I ran some errands during the lunch hour and took a stroll on this crisp Friday.  The winds are much lighter today so it doesn't feel as cold as yesterday.  Here is some of what I saw along my walk.

A beautiful new boardwalk along the Potomac River at the Washington Harbour Complex.

A pretty bed outside of the House of Sweden (The Swedish Embassy) on K Street , NW.  The shrubs appear to be roses, although I was not certain of that.

A view along the Potomac River, looking west.  That is Rosslyn, Virginia in the background in Arlingon county.  If you take Route 110 around Rosslyn heading to the left of this picture, the major monuments you would see would first be the Iwo Jima Memorial, then Arlington Cemetery and then the Pentagon.

A view along the Potomac River, looking east.  That is the Kennedy Center in the distance, to the left.

And finally, a plane load of passengers soon to arrive at Reagan National Airport.  Who knows who might be on this plane.  A famous Senator or Congressman.  Possibly a Cabinet Member or Ambassador.  Maybe even you!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  We will be returning to our renovation of the kitchen at Crest Avenue this weekend, so look for updates next week.
