A Busy, Busy Four Days at Crest Avenue

WOW!  That's the only way I can describe the span of time from last Friday morning through this morning. A very hectic time caring for a sick friend.  But all will be fine in a few days and that is the good news.

We were surprised and happy to see rainfall here in the greater metropolitan area last Thursday.

You know it hasn't rained in a long time when we start taking pictures of the wet pavement.  "Look.  It rained!"

This has been a very dry summer here in the Mid-Atlantic.  I have been watering at Crest Avenue, but I have lost a couple of plants.  A holly and a blue spruce are no longer in the landscape due to the drought.

These pictures were taken at the beautiful Washington Harbour complex int he 3000 block of K Street, NW in the Georgetown area of Washington, DC.  Let's hope that fall will bring some nice gentle showers that will help during the fall planting season.  We will be adding some new plantings at Crest Avenue and moving some things around in the landscape, so stay tuned.
